US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said that the United States and its allies decided to form a monthly contact group to ensure Ukraine's ability to fend off any future Russian attack, while Moscow said that Washington and Kiev's policies could lead to the division of Ukraine into several countries.

The announcement by US Secretary Austin came at the conclusion of a conference attended by 40 countries at the US Ramstein base in southern Germany, which discussed coordinating the efforts of Western countries to provide Kyiv with heavy weapons.

On the other hand, the Ukrainian authorities said on Tuesday that Russian forces are bombing bridges and railways in the country in order to slow down the arrival of Western arms shipments to the Ukrainian forces, after Moscow destroyed a strategic bridge linking Ukraine with its neighbor Romania.

In Moscow, the Ministry of Defense warned of the possibility of the Russian army targeting decision-making centers in the capital, Kyiv, if London continues to provoke Ukraine in order to strike targets inside Russian territory with Western weapons. It is acceptable for Ukrainian forces to attack military targets inside Russian territory with Western weapons.
