FSMTC protested over the planned supply of Mi-17 helicopters by the United States to Ukraine

The FSMTC commented on the statement by Pentagon spokesman John Kirby that the United States plans to transfer Mi-17 helicopters to Ukraine as part of the next package of military assistance.

The FSMTC said in a statement that the contract and certificates stipulate that this helicopter equipment is intended for transfer to Afghanistan by the United States and is not subject to re-export or transfer to another country without the consent of Russia.

Earlier, the Pentagon announced the planned transfer to Ukraine of 90 howitzers, 16 Mi-17 helicopters, 1.4 thousand Stinger MANPADS.
