Earlier, Guterres, at a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, said that he understood Russia's claims to what is happening in Ukraine and to European security.
At the beginning of the meeting, Putin reminded Guterres that the whole problem around Ukraine arose after the coup d'état that took place in Kyiv in 2014.
