According to the Syrian military, at about 0:41 a.m. local time on the 27th, Israel launched an air strike from the direction of Tiberias to targets around the Syrian capital Damascus.

Syrian air defenses intercepted and shot down some of the missiles, but the attack still killed four soldiers, wounded three, and lost some supplies.

Since the outbreak of the Syrian civil war in 2011, the Israeli army has repeatedly attacked targets in Syria under the pretext of hitting Iranian military facilities. However, both the Syrian and Iranian governments deny that Iran has troops stationed in Syria.
