200 care employees are missing before the summer in Skellefteå municipality: "We must close wards"

There are plenty of vacancies in Skellefteå and the home care service has difficulty finding people.

Despite an offer of SEK 30,000 extra for the holiday to be moved, the municipality has not managed to fill the summer schedule.

The salary for a new assistant nurse in Skellefteå is SEK 22,000 a month, for a health care assistant SEK 20,000.

Can attract more more bonus

Next week, the union Kommunal is called to a meeting with the municipality to discuss additional extra money this summer and how these will be distributed.

- From what we understand, there is more money, but it is about how they should be spent, says Anki Pettersson, chairman of the municipal section Skellefteå.

On Tuesday evening, a crisis meeting was also held where about 50 members of the municipality discussed the summer with the municipality.
