Teenage boy scares off burglar who breaks into his garden

A teenager managed to scare away a burglar, suspected of having entered his garden on Saturday in Montpellier (Hérault),

learned from the police.

He and his sister were in their house, alone, waiting for their parents to return, with instructions not to open the door to anyone.

Suddenly they heard ringing, but did not open.

But the boy was intrigued by a noise, and saw a man entering their property, climbing the gate.

The brother and sister appeared, startling the suspect, who fled.

The boy did not stop there: he pursued the man, who is accused of having threatened him, with a screwdriver, and of having thrown stones at him, so that he would stop pursuing him.

The teenager's father, alerted by his daughter, arrived at the scene and caught up with the suspect, who is accused of threatening him with a screwdriver and punching him in the face.

The police intervened to arrest the burglar, who was in his twenties.

The man, a Moroccan in an irregular situation, already known for similar acts in the Paris region, was placed in a detention center.
