It was during a chase by a suspected affected driver that the crew came to a roundabout and collided.
The 18-year-old male motorist was arrested on suspicion of drug driving, negligence in traffic, illegal driving and causing bodily injury.
The police were taken to hospital for treatment, but are not said to be seriously injured.
It all happened near Brunnsbo at 03.30 on Tuesday.
