- Between ancient legacies and modern human experiences, the bug came in its developed form, which is one of the habits of cooking food in ancient homes, when women used to put a food pot (cooker) after cooking it on the fire for a short period, and sealed it inside a large blanket so that the heat was preserved inside it. The food is cooked automatically and remains hot for a long time.

In South Africa, environmentalists tried to find an alternative solution to depleting forests and cutting wood for use in cooking food, so the bug was the perfect solution, to save energy, natural resources, money and effort as well.

Bukkake and its safe use in the presence of children

This was the tip of the thread held by Mrs. Reem Ramadan from Jordan and the owner of the "Magic Bag" project, in which the traditional Buqja image was developed in an innovative way to match the era in which we live. There are various shapes, colors and sizes to suit the needs of every home.

She was helped to achieve this by a group of women in Jordan, who make the bakja by hand, and then export it to various countries, such as Canada, America, Britain, European countries, and the Arab Gulf countries.

Alaa Al-Maali, a Palestinian-Jordanian, who is responsible for distributing Buqqa in Britain and Europe, says, "Bukha not only keeps food hot, but also cooks it like a slow cooker does, in a safer manner."

Alaa adds to Al Jazeera Net, "Unlike other containers, it does not emit external heat, so it is safe for children and is not connected to electrical wires, and you can carry it like a bag and move it anywhere, and you can clean it inside the washing machine and preserve it for many years, and it has other uses in fermentation." dough, and curdling milk."

Buqja is a friend of working women

Ala’a continues her talk about the uses of the buga, “The insulation ratio inside the baguja reaches approximately 90%, which makes it keep the food hot or cold, as frozen food remains frozen for long hours. And most importantly, the buga completes the cooking of the food, you just need to put the pot on the fire for a while. A simple period of time ranging from 10 to 15 minutes or half an hour, depending on the type of food, then you close it and put it in the bakka, which in turn completes the settlement slowly by retaining the internal heat.”

Ala’a continues her talk about the benefits of Bukaja, “and thus significantly saves electricity and gas, and saves the time and effort the woman spends in the kitchen as she puts food on the stove and watches it and stirs it every minute for fear that it sticks to the cooker or burns, and she needs to increase the water inside it in some cases.” sometimes".

But the bug does not need that, it keeps the liquids in the food until the end of its settlement and there is no need to stir it from time to time, it distributes the internal heat between the ingredients automatically.

It is also considered the friend of working women, so the working woman can prepare food, put it inside her, and go to work safely, only to return to find the food hot and ready to be served.

Buying bakja for Ramadan

Some believe that the food tastes better, as the baqja keeps the spices and spices inside, unlike cooking on the stove, as the smell comes out and fills the house, so that the food remains hot inside it with a boiling point of about 6 to 8 hours, and whenever there are liquids in the food, it stays hot for a longer time .

And in the month of Ramadan, many bought it to help cook different types of food, especially in family gatherings and parties. Alaa herself uses it and prepares food from noon and enjoys it ready at sunset.

Regarding the materials from which the baqja is made, His Excellency apologized for mentioning it, as it is “the secret of the profession,” as she said, and emphasized the quality of the materials used in its manufacture, whether the type of internal and external cloth, or the thermal balls that are inside, which preserve the food’s heat and work to settle it, and it is one of the best types. At the global level, she expressed her regret at the attempt by some to imitate the original baqja, which - as she described it - no one was able to make it with the same quality that distinguishes them, especially the hand-made sewing made by women in Jordan.

Abu Julia is the secret of the success of the project

Alaa expressed her gratitude for the role of "Abu Julia", the famous chef on social media platforms, in promoting the Al-Baqja project, and filming some of its episodes while using it, pointing out its importance in keeping food hot and completing the cooking process inside it, which significantly affected its sales and increased demand.

Abu Julia described al-Baqja as “the sweetest invention in the world,” despite it being an old custom, when the grandmother used to cook “upside down” and wrap it in Shawwal or Haram, carry it with a stick, and go to the grandfather who works in the land to eat.
