The reaction was totally disproportionate.

Monday evening, around 6:30 p.m., a cyclist in his forties was riding on a cycle path in the Saint-Simon district of Toulouse when an obstacle arose in front of him.

A car in this case, parked on the reserved lane and whose driver was apparently on the phone.

The cyclist swerved on the road, but he showed his displeasure by kicking the hood of the interfering vehicle.

And it is an understatement to say that the motorist saw red.

After honking her horn, she chased the bike, gripping it dangerously and ending up hitting it from behind in front of several witnesses.

The victim fell heavily on the road.

The man suffered from abrasions and serious bruises, his condition required the intervention of the firefighters.

Arrested a few hours later outside his home

As for the vengeful motorist, she fled.

But the witnesses were able to note his plate.

So that, around 10 p.m., the police officers of the specialized field brigade (BST) of Mirail were at the bottom of his home, trying to note the trace of the collision on the bumper of his car.

The young girl presented herself spontaneously to them.

She was immediately taken into custody for "aggravated violence and hit and run".

She is still being heard at the police station on Tuesday afternoon.
