It was half a year ago that Maria Malmberg together with her sister Erika Malmberg got the idea for an unmanned grocery store in Läppe, located just over a mile from Vingåker.

One of the players in the market snapped and the plans went awry.

Checked like other stores

The store is one of two in Vingåker municipality and it is the municipality that grants permission for an establishment.

The same requirements are imposed on the unmanned stores as in other food businesses, before an initial inspection is made.

- Then recurring checks take place depending on the risk classification the business receives.

In general, there will be inspections at 1-3 year intervals, says Emily Klemedsson, environmental inspector at Vingåker municipality.
