Electric scooters can be a problem when Umeå's streets are to be swept

The sweeping to pick up sand and gravel after the winter takes place in areas and a total of 700 km of streets are to be swept clean.

Before Umeå municipality started cleaning, private individuals were urged that bicycles should not be parked along house facades.

Now the electric scooters have also made their entrance in Umeå, which makes it for the municipality when they have to clean the streets of Umeå.

Street operations manager Per Hilmersson says that electric scooters can lead to problems.
