The Cairo Criminal Court issued a new ruling listing the Muslim Brotherhood on the list of terrorist entities for a period of 5 years, as well as 20 leaders of the group and two companies, at the request of the Supreme State Security Prosecution.

According to the decision - issued by the court's advisory room and published in the Official Gazette today - Aspire Production House and Delta Development Real Estate Investment Company have been included on the list of terrorist entities for a period of 5 years.

In April 2018, the Criminal Court issued decisions to include 1,527 individuals and leaders of the Muslim Brotherhood on the lists of terrorist entities, and in 2020, the authorities decided to include a number of other Brotherhood leaders and other groups and others on those lists.

According to the latest update of the lists of "terrorists and terrorist entities" published by the Egyptian Anti-Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing Unit on February 20, the number of those listed reached 7,033 people in addition to 8 groups.

The law of inclusion on terrorist lists sets a period of time to designate a person or a terrorist group, with the possibility of repeating it, and entails procedures, including travel bans and confiscation of funds.
