Japan Policy Consultation Group visited the Prime Minister's residence for a meeting with Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida.



The interview took place from 10:40 am to 25 minutes.



After the meeting, the consultative group said that they shared the view that cooperation between the two countries is essential in the international situation, such as North Korea's missile launch.



It was said that he also delivered a letter from the president-elect Yoon Seok-yeol.

The Kim Dae-jung-Obuchi Declaration is a joint declaration issued by both Koreas and Japan in 1998, and contains the contents of Japan's apology for colonial rule and future-oriented Korea-Japan relations.

Regarding the issue of the past, the biggest issue, the council said that it would make diplomatic efforts to find an acceptable solution to the issue of forced labor, and the issue of comfort women for the Japanese military was in the spirit of the 2015 agreement. He said that he conveyed his intention to make efforts to find a solution according to it.



In the interview yesterday (26th), the need to expand human exchanges was also discussed.



Whether or not Prime Minister Kishida will attend the presidential inauguration is a matter for Japan to decide.
