A jewelry store was robbed overnight from Saturday to Sunday in Manosque (Alpes-de-Haute-Provence).

To enter the business, the thieves used a ram car, reports BFMTV.

The vehicle launched at full speed hit the front of the jewelry store, causing major damage.

Despite this, the burglars obviously had difficulty entering the store to steal jewelry.

An open investigation

According to the owner, interviewed by BFMTV, the bulk of the damage is indeed linked to the shock of the car-ram and not to theft.

An investigation was opened and entrusted to the national police.

The mayor of Manosque, Camille Galtier, sent his thoughts to the managers of the jewelry store.

According to him, the images from the CCTV cameras will be used by the police to identify the vehicle and the burglars.
