Nadia Okasha, the former director of the Tunisian President's office, Kais Saied, criticized unnamed parties, blaming them for the failure of the July 25 decisions, which Said's opponents describe as a coup against the constitution.

Nadia Okasha - who assumed her position in late January 2020 - said in a post on her Facebook account that what happened last July was a decisive moment and a national path that "was supposed to be based on a clear methodology" and "on firm foundations to build A state of law in which freedoms and institutions are respected.

However, she added, "This moment, and this path, was seized by those who have no honour, religion, or patriotism, and by a group of losers who understand nothing but the professionalism of vulgarity, distortion and misinformation."

Nadia Okasha spoke of "a suffocating political crisis that has become an imminent and grave danger that (Tunisia) has not witnessed in its modern history."

She wondered about Tunisia's current position in the stifling economic and financial crisis it is going through, especially with "the failure to find a clear and serious economic reform program based on correct data that would enable us to discuss an agreement with the International Monetary Fund."

She also wondered about the reasons for the absence of an effective scientific methodology for reform.

Last January, Nadia Okasha announced her resignation from her position as Director of the Presidential Office due to what she described as "differences of views."

"Today, I decided to submit my resignation to the President of the Republic from the position of Director of the Presidential Office after two years of work," Okasha said in a post on her Facebook page.

She added, "I had the honor of working for the higher interest of the country from my position, with the effort I had on the side of the President of the Republic, but today, in the face of fundamental differences in viewpoints related to this best interest, I consider it my duty to withdraw from my position as Director of the Presidential Office, wishing success. Everyone is praying to God to protect this country from all evil.”

Okasha was Said's closest aide since he came to power in 2019, and during his moves last July, which included suspending parliament and assuming executive power in what his opponents describe as a coup.

Nadia Okasha was described as the black box of President Qais Saeed and the confidant of his secrets.
