Raytec, a leading company in the production of machines that use vision technology for quality control in the food sector, will exhibit from April 26 to 28 at Seafood, Barcelona, and will officially present its latest sorter models with two linked innovative applications to the world of ethical products.

The first novelty is Curiosity, the grader with a totally hygienic design used with great success in the classification of shrimp.

The machine, installed directly on the fishing vessels, immediately separates the suitable shrimp that will go through the cooking process from the foreign bodies, which are collected and eliminated, while the unwanted species are returned to the sea, contributing to a more sustainable fishing and less invasive.

Thanks to this technology, the fishing boat carries out a selection process on board that has several advantages: less time and fuel wasted, but above all a much smaller impact on the marine ecosystem, which is not deprived of fauna that is not consumed by man.

The other innovation is Dryce, which is used to classify mussels.

Hygienic and compact, Dryce examines a large quantity of product and is able to easily detect foreign bodies and mussels with defects not suitable for distribution on the market.

Once again, the objective is to obtain a quality product without waste and quickly, so that the properties of the product remain intact.

Both machines are easy to sanitize and maintain.
