A half-hearted victory for the outgoing president.

He was re-elected with 58.55% of the vote, a larger lead over his rival than the opinion polls predicted, but the far right had never achieved such a score in the second round of the presidential election. .

With 41.45% of the vote, Marine Le Pen already has the legislative elections in her sights.
