After three days of an agreement between the ruling and opposition parties, the People's Power formalized a re-discussion in the direction of including elections and crimes against public officials.

The Democratic Party announced that it would not tolerate the breach of the agreement and foreshadowed enforcement action.

The People's Power held a supreme committee meeting this morning (25th) and concluded that it should be reconsidered that the 'public office election, public official crimes' should be excluded from the prosecution's direct investigation in the arbitration plan for the 'examination and overhaul' bill.

Floor leader Kwon Seong-dong explained the reason why there were many criticisms from the public that these two crimes were excluded from the direct investigation, saying, "It's a riot, it's for politicians to get indulgences ahead of the local elections."

[Kwon Seong-dong / People's Power Floor Leader: Anyway, it is the responsibility of our politicians to create misunderstandings, I see it that way.

So, I hope that the Democratic Party will also respond to the reconsideration with an open mind.]

The Democratic Party strongly objected.

"We will not tolerate any attempt to break the agreement between the ruling and opposition parties," said Yun Ho-jung, chairman of the Democratic Party's emergency response committee.

Park Hong-geun, floor leader, also announced that it would be enforced, saying it was a "provocation that denies co-operation."

The Justice Party also supported the people's power, saying, "It should be dealt with according to the arbitration plan," saying, "Mongni refuses to reform the prosecution."

As talk of re-debate came out three days after the dramatic agreement between the ruling and opposition parties, the National Assembly debate over the 'examination and overhaul' is showing signs of escalating into a 'gang-to-river confrontation' again.
