China News Service, April 24. According to Taiwan's "Central News Agency", Taiwan's High Court heard a case of official expenses that has been litigated for more than 15 years on the 22nd. Ma Yongcheng and Lin Dexun, the former directors of the regional leaders' office, claimed that there was no corruption or forged documents. Ask the court to acquit.

The case will be sentenced on July 15.

  Ma Yongcheng and Lin Dexun are accused of, together with Chen Shuibian, his wife Wu Shuzhen, Chen Zhenhui, the cashier of Chen Shuibian's office at the time, and others, for embezzling and defrauding a total of more than NT$100 million in business jet fees from 2000 to 2006.

During the first trial, Ma and Lin were sentenced to 20 and 16 years respectively.

The case was returned by the "Supreme Court", and the "High Court" conducted a second instance.

  The whole case is due to the fact that Taiwan's "High Prosecutor's Office" Criminal Investigation Center and the "Supreme Prosecutor's Office" special investigation team (both have been abolished) successively prosecuted Chen Shui-bian and others in four major cases (official expenses case, Nangang Exhibition Center case, Longtan purchase case) Land case and money laundering case); after the case has been merged and tried in the first, second and third instance and remanded, some cases have been decided, and the rest will be subject to the second instance of the Taiwan High Court.

  The part that was sent back to the second instance by Taiwan's "Supreme Court" includes the case of business jet fees involved by Chen Shuibian, Wu Shuzhen, Ma Yongcheng, Lin Dexun, and Chen Zhenhui, the case of Wu Shuzhen, Bian's friend Cai Mingzhe, and Guo Quanqing, the former chairman of Liqi Construction, who were sued in the Nangang Exhibition Center case In the money laundering case, Chen Shuibian, Wu Shuzhen, Chen Zhenhui, Cai Mingzhe, and Guo Quanqing were sued for the money laundering case of official expenses, and Chen Shuibian's son Chen Zhizhong and his daughter-in-law Huang Ruiliang were accused of money laundering.

  The second instance has been heard intensively recently. Except for Chen Shuibian who suspended the trial and Wu Shuzhen who asked for leave, all the other defendants appeared in court; Ma Yongcheng and Lin Dexun ended their arguments on the 22nd, and the remaining defendants finished their arguments on the 8th, and the whole case will be sentenced on July 15.
