Milan is two points ahead of Inter, winner of AS Roma on Saturday (3-1), and seven over Naples.

But the Nerazzurri can regain the lead on Wednesday if they win their late game in Bologna.

Surprised at the start by Ciro Immobile (4th), author of his 26th goal of the season in the league but also his 181st goal in Serie A, which makes him the top scorer in activity, the Rossoneri reacted well and logically equalized thanks to Olivier Giroud (50th).

Their outrageous domination at the end of the match, with the return to the field of Zlatan Ibrahimovic entered for the last 25 minutes, found its reward thanks to the goal snatched by Sandro Tonali (90 + 2nd).

In the absence of efficiency in front of goal, the Rossoneri showed great strength of character in a Stadio olimpico where they played almost like at home, due to the sling of certain ultra laziali, who stayed out because of places deemed too expensive.

"My players are lions," said Rossonero coach Stefano Pioli.

Naples (3rd), on the other hand, sees its dreams of scudetto slipping away more and more for having been scuttled at Empoli 3-2 after leading 2-0 until the 80th minute.

The Neapolitan defense, orphaned by its "rock" Kalidou Koulibaly, suspended, sank in ten minutes, giving the Tuscans (14th) their first success since December.

Meret's blunder

Goalkeeper Alex Meret notably made an incredible blunder, countered just in front of his line by Andrea Pinamonti on the 2-2 (83rd).

The same Pinamonti, euphoric, then threw himself (88th) to conclude an improbable reversal of the situation which seems to condemn Naples.

"Imagining such an end to the match was difficult. (...) I am responsible for this team, for its technical and mental attitude, I have to pay the consequences", commented coach Luciano Spalletti, refusing to overwhelm his keeper.

Napoli, threatened to see Juventus (4th) return to a point in the event of victory against Sassuolo on Monday, announced a greening that looks like a sanction for the whole team.

At the bottom of the standings, the battle for maintenance also remains intense with the victory (1-0) of Genoa (19th) in a "six-point match" against Cagliari, the first non-relegation player (17th).

The Sardinians are only three points ahead of their opponent of the day and Salernitana (18th, a game late).

Red lantern for months, already seeming condemned to relegation, the Salernitana continues its astonishing leap with a third victory in eight days.

After Sampdoria (2-1) and Udinese (1-0), the band in Ribéry surprised an opponent of another caliber, Fiorentina (2-1).

"Nine points in three games, big win today. We must not let go," Ribéry urged on Instagram.
