“On April 23, 2022, from the side of Ukraine there was a targeted attack from mortars and artillery guns protecting and guarding the State Border of the Russian Federation, employees of the Border Directorate of the Federal Security Service of Russia in the Kursk Region at the Tetkino border checkpoint,” the UK said.

On the afternoon of April 23, the governor of the Kursk region, Roman Starovoit, said that the checkpoint on the border in the Glushkovsky district was fired from Ukraine.

Starovoit added that the border guards and the military are keeping the situation under control, there were no casualties as a result of the shelling.
