During the summer, Destination Gotland will operate Västervik – Visby daily.
The ferry departs from the terminal on the Lucerne Peninsula, just outside the old Västervik center.
But in order to be able to act in good time in the event of a disturbance on a regular boat operating on the mainland and Visby, access to a reserve boat is also needed.
And it is the reserve boat that is now creating criticism and misunderstanding among residents near the harbor in Västervik.
Several neighbors that SVT Nyheter Småland spoke to think that the large boat destroys the beautiful view of the bay.
