On Sunday afternoon, a grass fire started in Häradshammar outside Östra Husby.
The fire initially spread rapidly.
- It is difficult with the wind that often turns, says Jonas Penton, alarm and control operator Räddnigstjänsten in Östra Götaland.
According to the rescue service, 16 firefighters and 6 units are on site.
In addition, aircraft from MSB help with the extinguishing work.
Initially, there was a risk that the fire would spread to buildings.
- There were some buildings that were threatened but it has been possible to keep that away.
They will let the flight charge properly with water, says Jonas Penton.
