The trial held before the Haute-Garonne miners' assize court did not elucidate the precise motive for the murder of Hocine Hamrouni, shot on June 2, 2018 by a gunshot in his back in front of his home in Beauzelle, near Toulouse.

Three defendants appeared: the shooter identified by the gendarmes of the research section, 23 years old at the time of the events, and his two accomplices who were 17 years old at the time.
