On April 21, local time, U.S. President Biden said in a speech at the White House that the United States will provide Ukraine with an additional $800 million in military assistance.

He also said the United States would ban Russian-linked ships from entering the country's ports.

"Today, I'm announcing $800 million to further enhance Ukraine's combat capabilities in the eastern, Donbas region," Biden said, adding that the U.S. and its allies were supplying Ukrainian forces with weapons "as soon as possible."

U.S. military aid to Ukraine has totaled more than $3 billion since the outbreak of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict.

In addition, Biden announced that the United States would ban Russian-linked ships from U.S. ports to further isolate Moscow.

He said it was "another critical step" the United States had taken with its Canadian and European allies to "deprive Russia of the benefits of the international economic system that Russia has enjoyed in the past."

On the 19th local time, the heads of the United States, Britain and Canada held a video conference to discuss how to deal with the conflict between Russia and Ukraine. They also said that they would provide Ukraine with more artillery weapons.
