[Explanation] On April 22, the 9th Dajiang Forum-the Elite Forum on Peaceful Development of Cross-Strait Relations, hosted by the Central Committee of the Taiwan Alliance, with the theme of "enhancing the well-being of compatriots on both sides of the strait and promoting the peaceful reunification of the motherland" opened in Beijing, inviting representatives from all walks of life on both sides of the strait. The people discussed and exchanged in-depth discussions on jointly promoting the peaceful development and integrated development of cross-strait relations and advancing the process of the reunification of the motherland.

　　[Explanation] Su Hui, vice chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and chairman of the Taiwan League Central Committee, attended the forum.

Li Yuefeng, member of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress and executive vice-chairman of the Central Committee of the Taiwan League, issued an appeal to Taiwan compatriots on both sides of the strait on behalf of the Central Committee of the Taiwan League.

This year marks the 30th anniversary of the "1992 Consensus". Wu Rongyuan called on compatriots on both sides of the strait to jointly implement the concept of "one family on both sides of the strait".

Only by relying on the common political foundation of the "1992 Consensus" and maintaining the framework of the One China, can we truly maintain the peaceful development of cross-strait relations, enhance the well-being of compatriots on both sides of the strait, and ultimately achieve the peaceful reunification of the country.
