The staff's wish list stated, among other things, that they wanted a winter jacket, hat, gloves, winter boots, gym shoes and a set of rainwear.

All to be prepared for "clothes according to the weather" during their work shift.

Now, before Easter, that is, four months after the announcement, the garments began to be rolled out to the staff.

- We got a 3-in-1 jacket that is great, then we got a pair of solid winter pants.

Now we want shoes, a hat and gloves.

And a good pair of rain pants.

We think it should be included, says Anette Karlsson who is an assistant nurse in Nybro municipality.

Long waiting time

Regarding the waiting time of four months, Marie Sjöö, who is head of operations at Nybro municipality, believes that it depends on several factors.

- We prioritized the jacket and the warm trousers first because the idea was that we would have time to get it out when the cold was going on.

But the order and delivery took time.

But the jacket they received is a 3 in 1 jacket that you can use all year round.

Pay for work shoes yourself

Despite the fact that you gratefully received the outerwear after a long wait, the problem still remains that you to some extent have to pay for work clothes and work shoes yourself.

- It is very sad that we can not get more hearing for what we want and that we do not get more understanding that we need clothes and that it is expensive to buy our own clothes, says Anette Karlsson, assistant nurse in Nybro municipality.

Fulfill all wishes

According to operations manager Marie Sjöö, there are plans to fulfill all wishes if possible.

- We have talked about shoes, but that decision has not been made because then it applies not only to home care staff, but also those who work in housing.

But we will continue to work on the other issues this autumn, says Marie Sjöö.
