It was a press release from the military regime that announced it on Friday evening April 22 on national television.

A freedom that is not yet total: he can receive whoever he wants, but within a restricted framework until further notice.

A statement from the National Council of the Rally for Development (CNRD), now the country's governing body, however, indicates that the former president will remain at his wife's private home pending the completion of construction work on his private residence.

The dignity and integrity of the former president will be preserved and he will be able to receive, at his request, his biological and political family as well as his close friends.
