“We have options in case China actively tries to undermine our sanctions,” he said, quoted by RIA Novosti.

Singh declined to elaborate on exactly what measures he was referring to.

“I think you know what we are talking about.

We have a number of different instruments, including secondary sanctions.

We are not ruling out anything,” he said.

At the State Department, the US has previously threatened China with consequences from Washington and its allies if Russia helps to circumvent sanctions or military supplies.

The Chinese Ministry of Defense has previously demanded that the United States not use the Ukrainian crisis to pressure and threaten Beijing.

Beijing also recalled that China will strengthen strategic cooperation with Russia, regardless of changes in the situation in the international space.
