“We are going to take advantage of this to challenge the possible extradition of Alexander Vinnik to Greece if such a decision is made by the prosecutor’s office,” he told RIA Novosti.

In June, the Paris Court of Appeal confirmed the sentence of Alexander Vinnik, who had previously been sentenced to five years in prison on charges of money laundering.

In February, the French Court of Cassation satisfied the demand for the protection of the Russian and submitted a request to the Constitutional Council of the republic about a possible violation of his rights in connection with his extradition to France.

Subsequently, the French Constitutional Council rejected the request for violations of Vinnik's rights in connection with the extradition decision.
