On Friday, the Yemeni army accused the Houthi group of bombing its positions with rigged drones in Al-Jawf Governorate, in the north of the country, despite the truce between the two sides in force.

The media center of the Yemeni Armed Forces said, in a statement, that the Houthi group continued its violations of the UN truce on various fighting fronts, and targeted a number of military sites with booby-trapped drones.

The statement indicated that the Houthis continued to build fortifications and mobilize reinforcements to several fronts in the Ma'rib Governorate in the center of the country and to sites in the Hays axis in Hodeidah, western Yemen, in conjunction with intense flight of reconnaissance drones.

There was no immediate comment from the Houthis in this regard, but the group had previously accused the Yemeni army of committing violations of the armistice on more than one front.

In early April, the UN envoy to Yemen, Hans Grundberg, announced that the parties to the conflict had agreed to a two-month, extendable truce, which began the next day and was welcomed by all parties.
