Six people were charged on Thursday with a particularly serious drug offense.

They are suspected of being part of a drug cartel that sold large quantities of drugs on Darknet, a secret part of the internet.

An operation that was stopped in connection with the international police operation Trojan shield in June last year.

• One of the accused is a

47-year-old man from Stockholm

who was arrested by Örebro District Court.

The man has previously been sentenced to six years in prison for a serious drug offense after selling and storing large quantities of drugs in Stockholm.

According to the police, the 47-year-old has had a kind of CEO role in the league that has now been prosecuted in Nyköping.

• Among the accused is also a

73-year-old man from Småland

.

He has previously been convicted of several serious drug crimes and in the 80s he was mentioned as the leader of the so-called Grodmansligan.

The man smuggled amphetamine, among other things, by swimming ashore with the drug.

• In January 2018, a

42-year-old man from Trosa

was sentenced by the Svea Court of Appeal to prison for, among other things, a serious drug crime.

According to the verdict, he had carried out a total of 48 transfers of a total of 60 grams of cocaine.

The transfers, which took place during the period 29 September 2015 to 6 February 2017, must have taken place systematically according to the court.

This was one of the reasons why the crime was considered serious.

• The youngest person in the suspected league is a

21-year-old woman from Stockholm

She was previously unpunished.

• Two more people have been charged with being part of the drug league.

Both are residents of Sörmland and previously unpunished.

It is about a

27-year-old woman from Nyköping

and a

30-year-old man from Trosa.

According to the police, five of the accused deny the crime.

Prosecutors and police do not want to reveal which of the accused do not deny the crime.

- It is a bit sensitive and we do not want to go into it, says Fredrik Beijar, chamber prosecutor in Nyköping.

All have been charged with extremely serious drug offenses.
