On Sunday, the French presidential election will be decided when Emmanuel Macron is challenged by the right-wing nationalist candidate Marine Le Pen.

According to the latest opinion poll, Macron clearly leads when 57.5 percent of voters state that they intend to vote for him, while 42.5 percent intend to vote for Le Pen.

Flirting with rural voters

On Friday, Emmanuel Macron held his last campaign meeting, which was entirely devoted to sparsely populated areas.

- There is widespread dissatisfaction in the countryside with his policies, one feels forgotten.
