Principal: "Many children thought it was the police's fault"

- When the school started on Tuesday, many children had the impression that this was the police's fault.

But after we have talked about it, the children have understood that the police were here to protect the citizens, says Pernilla Dahlgren, principal at the school Silverdansen in Navestad.

Recently, guardians of students in municipal schools in Norrköping received a letter about how the school works after the tragic events.

There are many children who have thoughts and, among other things, rights and obligations, freedom of expression and everyone's equal value are discussed, as well as how important our democracy is.

- After the conversations, I think the children have gained a greater understanding of what has happened.

The students also came up with the proposal to thank the police, so when they came to visit the school, the children handed over hugs, drawings, flowers and chocolate, says Pernilla Dahlgren.
