The

Madrid City Council

made an inconsistency in the documents it sent to the Anti-

Corruption Prosecutor

's Office in its investigation of the mask hit.

And for

Más Madrid,

which exercises the popular accusation, it is something more serious: a possible forgery in a public document.

From the analysis of the documents that appear in the summary, it is observed that

the same papers sent twice to the Prosecutor's Office are not the same.

The first shipment occurred in December 2020. The

funeral home,

the municipal public company that contracted with

Luis Medina

and

Alberto Luceño

the millionaire shipment of masks, gloves and tests that Judge

Adolfo Carretero is investigating,

sent at that time some "order letters " to the Prosecutor's Office, as well as copies of the contracts.

These engagement letters, an example of which is shown in this information, are dated March 25, 2020, but bear an electronic signature of the subsequent funeral home manager, dated March 29.

On that date, the shipment had already begun to be paid for, something that in principle should not have been done without having the order letter and the contract signed before that day.

Together with this letter of assignment, the corresponding contract was sent, signed by the councilor

Inmaculada Sanz Otero.

The second shipment of documentation occurred in April 2021. The Madrid City Council, in support of the declaration of one of its officials before the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor, sent the complete files of this purchase for which the Consistory paid

11 million euros,

of which six went to the pockets of Medina and Luceño.

In this case, the copies of the letters of assignment no longer have the electronic signature of the funeral home manager on March 29, 2020. It has disappeared and has become a manual signature, without the date of the 29. As a consequence, the order letter was already dated March 25.

It should be clarified that

in electronic signatures it is not possible to alter the date

on which they are stamped.

In the copy of the contract, the name of the councilor Inmaculada Sanz Otero, who is also president of the Board of Directors of the funeral company, has also disappeared, leaving other non-political actors as responsible signatories.

According to the popular accusation carried out by Más Madrid, this alteration of dates and political actors can be a crime of forgery of a public document.

The original documents were already in the possession of the prosecutor,

but since they were sent from two different places, the funeral home and the City Council's legal department, respectively, it is likely that no one noticed.

"The three letters should be exactly the same, since they are incorporated into an electronic administrative file in which their integrity and immutability must be guaranteed," explains the letter from Más Madrid.

For this reason, they have asked Judge Carretero to

declare the funeral home manager,

Fernando Sánchez, who in both cases signs the documents, as being investigated, so that he can explain why the "reconstructed" documents sent by the legal advisor are due.
