“According to the results of the interview of the Black Sea Fleet command with the crew members of the Moskva cruiser, the vast majority of officers, midshipmen and contract service sailors expressed a desire to continue serving on the ships of the Black Sea Fleet,” the ministry said in a statement.
According to the Defense Ministry, some soldiers have expressed a desire to transfer to other garrisons.
The report also says that "conscripts (sailors) on conscription after the expiration of their terms of service will be transferred to the reserve."
The ministry said that while trying to put out the fire on the Moskva missile cruiser, one serviceman died, and another 27 crew members were declared missing.
The remaining 396 crew members were evacuated to Sevastopol.
