The boy was attacked outdoors but managed to get to an apartment where the police and ambulance were then alerted.
He had to undergo emergency surgery for serious injuries.
The suspect boy was arrested the same night and later arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.
Chamber prosecutor Eva Uggla has now brought charges against him.
According to the indictment, he tried to kill the other boy "by stabbing him repeatedly with a knife against the head / neck and in the back, abdomen and one arm".
The prosecutor believes that it was only coincidences that made the victim survive.
She demands in the first place that the detained boy be prosecuted for attempted murder, and in the second place for aggravated assault.
He himself acknowledges the course of events, but denies the crime.
