Rep. Kim Eun-hye, who served as the spokesperson for the elected President Yoon Seok-yeol, was elected today (22nd) as a candidate for the Gyeonggi governor in the June 1 local election for the People's Power.

Former lawmaker Yoo Seung-min, who had an early advantage, eventually suffered a hardship by allowing the chase.

At a briefing at the National Assembly this morning, Chairman Jeong Jin-seok of the People's Power Nomination Management Committee announced the results of the contest for local election nominations for the heads of metropolitan and Yeongnam regions.

Former Incheon Mayor Yoo Jeong-bok, a former three-term lawmaker and former Minister of Safety and Public Administration, was confirmed as the candidate for Incheon mayor, Park Wan-su, re-elected member of the Changwon district, and Kim Doo-gyeom, former Mayor of Nam-gu, Ulsan, were confirmed as candidates for Gyeongnam governor.

The primary election was held for two days from the 20th to the 21st, and 50% of each of the results of the effective voting of the responsible party members and the public opinion polls were reflected.
