Important means of help had been deployed to find him, in vain.

Monday April 18, Morbihan firefighters discovered the lifeless body of a man who had been missing for ten days in Rieux, near Redon (Ille-et-Vilaine).

“The body found corresponds to the man who had thrown himself into the water on April 8”, specifies the vice-prosecutor of Vannes Marie Bahuon.

On Friday April 8, shortly after 1 p.m., several people had alerted the emergency services when they saw a man in the waters of the Oust.

Some witnesses had seen the man step over the bridge and jump into the water of the river.

It took ten days for a boater to discover the lifeless body on the bank of the river.

“The testimonies collected indicate that the individual committed suicide by jumping off the bridge,” confirms the deputy prosecutor.
