Emmanuel Macron and Marine Le Pen make two trips on Thursday, always with this obsession to seek out the electorate of Jean-Luc Mélenchon.

The two candidates have made radically different geographical choices: the candidate of the National Rally goes to Arras, and the president-candidate to Saint-Denis.

After the debate, the candidates are back on the presidential campaign ground.

Emmanuel Macron and Marine Le Pen make two trips on Thursday, always with this obsession to seek out the electorate of Jean-Luc Mélenchon.

The two candidates made radically different geographical choices.

Marine Le Pen is going to Arras this afternoon for her last meeting before the second round.

No less than 3,000 people are expected.

The candidate of the National Rally therefore goes to her land, in Pas-de-Calais.

She still wants to snatch votes from the popular electorate.

Macron-Le Pen debate: who won the duel between the two rounds?

An electorate not so much from immigration, but rather a victim of deindustrialization, and a population that feels downgraded.

Emmanuel Macron came first in the first round with 29.5% of the vote, followed by Marine Le Pen, at 24.03%.

Jean-Luc Mélenchon also collected 23% of the votes.

A risk-taking for the candidate, because she did not come out on top, but therefore, always this desire to try to convince the mélenchonistes.

Convince the voters of Mélenchon

On the other side, Emmanuel Macron goes to Saint-Denis, in Seine-Saint-Denis, at 1:15 p.m., officially to talk about urban renewal.

In fact, he clearly comes, like his competitor, to speak to voters about Jean-Luc Mélenchon.

The rebellious candidate scored very high in this department in the first round: he collected 61% of the vote.

Emmanuel Macron will thus try to convince these voters affected by extreme poverty, many of whom are of immigrant and Muslim faith.

A very clear political choice for the president-candidate.

Until the end of this second round campaign, one constant remains: the candidates will search with their teeth for the votes of Jean-Luc Mélenchon.
