Imagine, it's war (the Russian army is destroying Ukraine and massacres civilians), and we - keep making bad jokes.

The motto applies to some things that are called “comedy” in this country, and it definitely applies to a dispute that has been rocking the net since Easter.

It all started when comedian Joyce Ilg uploaded a picture to Instagram of herself and co-star Luke Mockridge with the caption, "Did any of you guys find any eggs?

I just got some knockout drops.”

This was meant to be funny and a reference to a joke, as Joyce Ilg later explained in another post Mockridge once made in one of his stage programs.

As expected, a lot of other humor specialists didn't find it funny, especially considering that a former girlfriend of Mockridge had accused him of attempted rape.

Luke Mockridge denies the allegation that the public prosecutor's office has discontinued an investigation.

"I'll up the dose"

Comedian Faisal Kawusi caused even more post-Easter excitement when it came to knockout drops.

Under the message sent to Joyce Ilg by the "Youtuberin" Silvi Carlsson, he said: "I almost died from knockout drops.

Not cool, Joyce" - to have to write: "Next time I'll up the dose, I promise."

That too was supposed to be a joke.

Critics who don't find it funny were initially harshly dismissed by Kawusi.

Then he apologized.

How you do it when you hit nonsense faster than you can think about it.

The joke about the knockout drops is so bad that it actually constitutes a reason for termination, said the author Sophie Passmann, meaning - Joyce Ilg.

However, the Sat.1 broadcaster "quit" the comedian Faisal Kawusi.

"With the celebrity cheeks," the station said it had to record, "Sat.1 clearly ended its collaboration with Faisal Kawusi last fall.

For reasons.

And of course it stays that way.”

For reasons?

What reasons?

Could it not be a knockout drop, but something to do with the fact that Sat.1 used the cutbacks during an emotional performance by Kawusi, in which he opposed the Taliban rule in Afghanistan and sang the national anthem?

Faisal Kawusi now wants to take a break from social media.

Not only he can use it.
