- First we see from the window how policemen stand around our car and look into it with a flashlight.

We know we have not done anything so we get dressed to go out and ask them what is happening, says Alexander.

But when they open the front door, seven policemen are already standing in the stairwell.

They rush into the apartment with raised arms.

The couple is body searched

The police search the house, search the body and interrogate them.

It does not take long before the suspicions are written off.

They are then informed that a weapons alarm has been received from Karlstad University.

When Omar was picking up the charger, an employee saw him walking through the corridor with a mobile phone in his hand - and mistaken the phone for a gun.

Disappointed at the university

Alexander and Omar feel traumatized after the incident and do not believe that Karlstad University wanted to distance itself from the mistake that happened.

- The head of security believes that they have acted correctly and said that the same thing could happen again tomorrow.

It no longer feels safe to be at university, says Omar.

"Student safety most important"

Jan Gambring, the university's head of security, believes that the person who provided the witness information was sure of his case.

- If you receive such serious information, you must act quickly.

Student safety is the most important thing for us.

But it is, of course, deeply unfortunate that a person has been innocently singled out.
