As noted in the statement, the license is valid from April 21 to May 31, 2022.

According to the document, we are talking about payment for contracts concluded before the release of the license.

OFSI stressed that this license is designed to "ensure the availability of gas in the European Union."

Earlier it was reported that the UK could become a transit country for natural gas to Europe amid attempts by European countries to reduce dependence on Russian energy imports.

Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said that energy prices could break historical records in the event of an embargo on Russian supplies.

He also expressed the opinion that Europe has nothing to replace Russian gas, either now or in the next five years.
