Rep. Min Hyung-bae's departure from the party is an extreme measure to eventually pass the bill in the Agenda Mediation Committee.

The purpose of the Agenda Mediation Committee is to accept the opinions of the minority as much as possible, rather than deciding on a bill with sharply conflicting opinions, such as the complete abolition of the prosecution's investigative power, by a majority vote.

Today (21st), this agenda coordination committee will be held and there is a possibility that the bill will be passed by the committee.

The power of the people is a policy to block it all-out until the end.

The agenda coordination committee of the National Assembly Legislative and Judiciary Committee is held today at the request of the Democratic Party to deal with the so-called 'examination and overhaul' bill, which aims to deprive the prosecution of investigative powers.

Earlier, the Democratic Party submitted a request for the formation of the Judiciary Committee's Agenda Mediation Committee immediately after completing the process of leaving Rep. Min Hyung-bae yesterday afternoon.

The Agenda Mediation Committee is an organization established to discuss issues that require reconciliation of differences of opinion, and is convened at the request of at least 1/3 of the members of the Judiciary.

3 Democrats, 2 People's Power, and 1 independent participate in the agenda coordination committee.

Park Gwang-on, chairman of the Judiciary Committee of the Democratic Party, asked the People's Power to appoint and notify two agenda coordinators by 10 am today.

Accordingly, the agenda coordination committee is expected to be held this afternoon at the earliest.

A quorum for resolutions of the Agenda Mediation Committee is 2/3 or more, so if independent Rep. Min Hyung-bae approves, the so-called 'check-and-run' bill will go to a plenary session of the Judiciary Committee.

The people's power immediately protested.

[Kwon Seong-dong/People's Power Minority Leader: When it becomes a majority party, it is completely ignoring

the opinions of the minority and neutralizing the agenda coordination committee.]

We asked our members to wait at the National Assembly today and tomorrow.

There are also observations that if the People's Power lawmakers do not attend the agenda committee today to oppose the bill, the bill can pass the agenda coordination committee with only Democratic lawmakers and independent lawmaker Min Hyung-bae in attendance.
