An avalanche was triggered this Saturday morning on a slope in the Courchevel ski area (Savoie).

If it caused no injuries and no damage, it did however carry two young skiers over a few meters, reports Le Dauphiné.

The snowslide was filmed by a person present on the track below.

On the video, we see the avalanche starting, gaining momentum and speed.

The two young girls skiing are then swept away when the snow reaches the edge of the ski slope.

An early morning avalanche

Neither of the two girls was fortunately injured.

"We quickly intervened on the spot but these people were already no longer present", indicated the head of security for the Courchevel slopes in

Dauphiné

.

The occurrence of an avalanche at this time is not surprising, the region having not experienced a refreeze for a few days.

On the other hand, it was surprising for the rescuers to see a flow start so early in the morning.
