“The State Duma adopted in the first reading a bill on turnover fines for IT giants in the amount of one tenth of the revenue in Russia of companies that did not comply with the norms of Russian legislation on the need to open representative offices in our country,” the Duma’s website says.

The document also provides for the introduction of a fine for refusing to place a personal account on the Roskomnadzor website in the amount of up to one tenth of the total revenue.

The bill was submitted to the State Duma on March 10.

Earlier, Roskomnadzor warned that in the near future, enforcement measures would be launched for foreign companies that did not comply with the Russian law “on landing”.
