Mizintsev said that against the background of the difficult humanitarian situation in the city, social payments to the population were stopped, as well as the central water supply was turned off and the work of public utilities was suspended.

According to Mizintsev, humanitarian aid is stolen by the local administration and ends up on the shelves of shops and pharmacies at inflated prices.

“If local authorities fail to take immediate measures to restore urban life support systems, the city of Nikolaev will be in the zone of an epidemiological disaster,” Mizintsev said.

He also said that the militants were carrying out mass uncontrolled distribution of weapons and drug-containing medicines to the local population.

Earlier it became known that the Kiev authorities disrupted the humanitarian operation announced by Russia to evacuate citizens from the territory of the Azovstal metallurgical plant.
