A 37-year-old woman was arrested on April 13 in Biarritz (Pyrénées-Atlantiques).

She is suspected of having assaulted a 25-year-old man with a taser, reports Sud Ouest.

The suspect, originally from Marseille, allegedly asked the victim for her cell phone before hitting him with an electric pulse gun in the neck.

The young man was rescued by his roommate, who held the 30-year-old until the police arrived.

A taser and two knives

According to the first elements, the suspect discovered that her girlfriend, who lives with her in Marseille, was having an affair with the victim.

Placed in police custody, she invoked a gesture of defense but the investigators noted that she had been present in the city for several days.

At the time of the events, she also had two knives on her in addition to the taser.

Indicted for aggravated violence with premeditation and weapons, she will be tried by the Bayonne court and is prohibited from traveling to the Pyrénées-Atlantiques until her trial.
