“I made a mistake when I said in the past tense that they were given whole planes.

I regret the mistake I made, ”Kirby was quoted by RIA Novosti as saying.

According to him, thanks to the coordinated US policy, the Ukrainian military “has received enough spare parts and additional equipment to put more aircraft into service.”

Kirby stated that since the beginning of Russia's military special operation, Ukraine received aircraft and components for them from other states, which helped to strengthen its military potential in the sky.

As it became known earlier, the United States will transfer to Ukraine 200 M113 armored personnel carriers, 11 Mi-17 helicopters, 18 howitzers, 300 Switchblade loitering ammunition and 500 Javelin missiles.

At the same time, the United States will train the Armed Forces of Ukraine to handle American howitzers outside of Ukraine.
