Malaysia informs the judge that the businessman San Chin Choon refuses to collaborate

The Malaysian Prosecutor's Office has informed the instructor in the case of the blow of the masks,

that the businessman San Chin Choon, supplier of the sanitary material of the commissioners

and

Luis Medina sold to the Madrid City Council, he has refused to collaborate with the justice system and to give a statement, as requested by the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor

In the letter sent to the court, the Malaysian authorities communicate that Chin Choon has been located but that the businessman refuses to give a statement, without being able to force the Prosecutor's Office of that country to testify against his will.

San Chin Choon is the head of the Malaysian company Leno, which sold the masks, gloves and tests to Luceño, who posed as the exclusive agent of the Malaysian company.

On May 4, 2021, prosecutor

completed an international rogatory commission with one main objective: to obtain clarification from Leno's CEO, which he considered "essential" to clarify whether Luceño and his partner

committed a fraud, falsified documents and laundered their profits.

However, tax sources consulted by EL MUNDO explain that Malaysia is a country that does not usually provide judicial collaboration and that the expectations that in this case it would do so were very low;

Hence, Anti-Corruption launched a complaint in the courts of Plaza de Castilla without waiting for a response from the Malaysian authorities.
